On October 6, 2024, I, Maati Siddiquee, led a full-day dance workshop for Mira-Baï, a cultural association based in Rennes, France. The workshop took place at the Olympe de Gouges school gymnasium and was divided into two parts:
- A 1.5-hour technique session in the morning
- A 3-hour choreography workshop in the afternoon, followed by scheduled rehearsal sessions in the following months
Mira-Baï introduced me through their website and social media, highlighting my dance experience, my professional background in Bangladeshi media, and my academic engagement through the Erasmus Mundus Choreomundus Master’s Program. My research on Bollywood dance migration and intercultural practice was also mentioned as part of the event’s context.
