I performed at the NTNU Mini Conference during Jazz Fest 2024 in Trondheim, Norway, a curated event under the theme “Music and Community.” This segment of the festival was organized in collaboration with NTNU Music and featured a range of researchers and performers from diverse disciplines and cultural backgrounds.
As part of the performance section, I collaborated with Tonade Abigail, a fellow dancer from Nigeria. We presented an Afrobeat piece, chosen specifically for its deep roots in jazz music and its cultural relevance to the theme of the festival. This work highlighted the dialogue between African and Western musical influences and contributed to the festival’s message of diversity and inclusion through artistic expression.
